Development of a Cluster of OHS Researchers

Researchers: Jean-Pierre Brun (U. Laval)

Launched in December 2001, the idea of this network results from a collaborative effort between the Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail (IRSST) and three Quebec research funds: the Fonds de la recherche en santé du Québec (FRSQ), the Fonds québécois de la recherche sur la nature et les technologies (FQRNT) and the Fonds québécois de la recherche sur la société et la culture (FQRSC). OHS research needs are diverse and increasingly complex because changes in the work environment have amplified the problems and given rise to new ones faced by workers, employers and all OHS practitioners. In this context, the project of developing a network of researchers as a forum for discussion and consultation is all the more important. This network will be forward looking and offer opportunities to Quebec researchers to develop new knowledge whose impact will benefit all Quebec establishments and workers.
