For ten years, the IRSST has taken a particular interest in integrating occupational health and safety considerations into the design of new tools, machines and equipment. Some of these projects sought to understand the design process itself. After ten years, it appeared important to assess these studies, identify their strengths, and establish orientations that reflect the needs of workplaces. The studies conducted by the Safety Ergonomics Program are therefore analyzed, with the aim of producing a document summarizing the program's achievements and orientations.
