Although training programs are offered to workers and management in the mining sector, the determinants of these programs' success remain unknown. The first phase of this project, which studied the effect of various organizational factors on program success, observed that companies with effective prevention-related activities also had the most active training programs. In the second phase, the effectiveness of modular training programs in reducing occupational accidents was studied. Both workers and trainers emphasized the importance of follow-up in modular training programs, as this ensures long-lasting behavioural modifications. At the conclusion of this study, a bipartite follow-up committee was formed.
